- Running a late season meet for UW-La Crosse
I ran my first 5k at a local county festival at age 8 and never looked back. Throughout my childhood, I competed in a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball, karate, cross-country and track. I graduated high school with 10 varsity letters, but my passion has always been running. I competed in the Ohio State Cross Country and Track Championships during my Junior and Senior years of high school. My love for running, physical therapy, and the human body took me to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for college, where I competed as a member of three national championship teams.
During the summers, I dabbled in a few local triathlons. Following college graduation, I chose to attend graduate school in physical therapy at Northwestern University in Chicago. Although the big city is not ideal for training purposes, I have met many people who share the same passions as I do—swimming, biking, and running. I plan on using the knowledge I am acquiring at school to assist me in my training and am always eager to learn more about the sport.
My goal is to one-day compete as a professional, alongside the best in the world. This is my journey. I hope you enjoy my blog and pick up some useful information.
